PERSONAL CONNECTION TO JASON BRESNEHAN SONGWRITER AND PRODUCER
Go-Time Moments comes directly from my recovery journey.
For many years I carried what Alcoholics Anonymous often describes as the belief that I could somehow control everything around me. If life followed the script I had written in my own head, things were good. When that script broke down, alcohol became the easiest way to escape disappointment, frustration and uncertainty.
Recovery introduced me to the Serenity Prayer and one of the most important lessons I have ever learned. There are things I can change and things I cannot. The past sits firmly in the second category. No amount of thinking, regret or analysis will alter a single event that has already happened.
Over time I realised the future belongs in a similar category. Planning matters, preparation matters and goals matter, but nobody controls tomorrow. The future arrives one day at a time and often unfolds differently from the story we imagined.
That leaves only one place where life can be lived: the present moment.
The phrase Go-Time Moment emerged from that realisation. Whether in recovery, business, consulting, songwriting or daily life, there comes a point where preparation is finished and action must begin. The past cannot help you. The future cannot save you. All you have is the moment directly in front of you.
The message is simple:
One breath.
One swing.
One shot.
This moment is all you've got.
