Jason Bresnehan
Songwriter. Music Producer. Author. Investor.
Jason Bresnehan is a Tasmanian songwriter and direct descendant of Irish and English convicts transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) for the term of their natural lives. His songwriting is anchored in three enduring themes of the human condition: faith in God, identity, and movement through God's creation.
Drawing on the stories of his ancestors and his own journey through life as a venture capitalist, C-suite executive, investor and business consultant, Jason writes songs that cross both time and geography. His work spans 1788 East London and Limerick, Ireland, through to modern-day Tasmania, Australia, Thailand and the United States, connecting past and present through story, character and place.
Beyond music, Jason has built a career in business, investment and operational leadership, with experience across corporate advisory, venture capital, manufacturing, technology and executive management. The same discipline, curiosity and systems thinking that shaped his business career now inform his creative work.
Alongside songwriting, Jason writes and consults on business, technology and addiction recovery. Seventh Ribbon Music is the place where business discipline, creative instinct, recovery doctrine, ancestral lineage and modern technology converge to tell stories that explore who we are, what moves us, and how faith, identity and purpose shape our journey through life.
