The song then follows conversation into relationships, families and the legacies that pass from one generation to the next.
In its final movement, the lyrics broaden to a wider human perspective, presenting conversation as a force that helps people build understanding across communities, cultures and generations.

PERSONAL CONNECTION TO JASON BRESNEHAN SONGWRITER
On the day Good Talk was written, two unrelated conversations captured Jason Bresnehan's attention.
The first occurred during an inspection of a potential investment property. What began as a discussion about real estate moved through faith, Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, the Knights Templar, artificial intelligence and the relationship between technology and spirituality.
Later that same day, an elderly lady in a supermarket shared her views on the gourmet breads available and recommended a pumpkin and soy loaf.
Although the subjects were entirely different, both conversations reflected the ease with which people can connect when they engage openly with one another.
