The song imagines the remaining apostles standing on the Mount of Olives after witnessing Jesus ascend into Heaven. For years they had walked beside Him, learned from Him and watched Him demonstrate love, mercy, compassion and forgiveness in action. Now the responsibility for carrying that example into the world rests with them.
At its heart, You Must Move is a song about active faith. It challenges the idea that faith exists only in belief or reflection and instead presents Christianity as something that must be expressed through action, service and care for others.
MUSICAL DIRECTION
You Must Move combines uplifting soft-rock energy with a strong sense of forward momentum.

PERSONAL CONNECTION TO JASON BRESNEHAN SONGWRITER AND PRODUCER
You Must Move grew from reflecting on Acts 1:9-11 and what I have often thought of as one of the great turning points in Christianity.
Viewed through a business lens, Jesus fundamentally changed the engagement model. The religious leaders of the time were often focused on rules, procedures and compliance. Jesus consistently redirected attention towards people. Love, mercy, compassion, forgiveness and helping those in need became the centre of His ministry.
Then comes the Ascension. The apostles stand looking into the sky and the angels effectively redirect their attention back to the task ahead. The example has already been provided. The teachings have already been given. The mission is now theirs to continue.
That idea resonates strongly with me because it extends beyond faith. Knowledge, plans and good intentions only become worthwhile when they are put into practice. The song is a reminder that belief alone is not enough. At some point, people must take what they know, step forward and move.
The message is simple:
Jesus showed the way.
Now it is our turn to walk it.
